another go at the resurrection shuffle, everyone's favourite dance! ;)
been spending some more time with the amp, it's certainly a change from what i was used to! it seems very sensitive to different guitars, requiring dramatically different settings. with my Miracle man loaded 7 string Les Paul i had both body and detail (pre-amp gain) up fairly high, about 3/4, and master at about 5. this gave me a great biting, aggressive eighties metal kind of tone, perfect for chugging riffs and squealing leads with plenty of upper mid grind and low end body. but plug in my Les Paul standard with Burstbucker pro's and the same settings give a fizzy, shrill mess! i ended up with both gains down around 3 and the master at about 7 with that guitar, which gave the most fabulous, dynamic sound. stroke the strings and it chimed, dig in and it roared!
all that was in the high dynamic range.
i really look forward to exploring further, and i haven't even used any pedals yet! i reckon my Thundertomate Treble Booster and my Marshall Guv'Nor will be magnificent through it :)
