Fuller Nailbomb split coil like humbucker?
« on: August 12, 2009, 07:17:29 AM »
So I really dig how ceramic nailbomb split coil sounds, I just wish sometimes it didn't have the noise & was a little fuller sounding, but that mean attitude that comes out of it is amazing. Wondering if there is a humbucker that will fit the bill.

how about trying the nailbomb with a series/parallel switch instead of a coil split.

it will definately solve the noise issue, worth trying to see if you like the sound

Better still, why not an on/on/on DPDT mini switch for Series/Split and Parallel switching?  I have one on my Jackson & it rocks for the NB neck - I probably use Parallel more than either of the other two...

(wiring is the bottom entry here)

yeah, its the same wiring as the series/parallel and something well worth considering for extra versatility on single pickup guitars... thats when i tend to use them anyway
