Pickups for a Gold Top Traditional Les Paul
« on: August 31, 2009, 08:36:00 PM »
Alright, so i already own a CS set in my les paul studio which i love, Looking for something in the same light but not identical since they are both les pauls., thinking nailbomb, This guitar will be more for leads then the Studio and from clips i love the lead sound on NB's, Only thing im debating is the High-mid spike on the NB, Clarity and tightness ( Not to worried about the last one as i dont play Brutalz)
Anyways love to hear some thoughts im going to ala bonamassa this guitar with black parts.
As for refrence of sound i love that EJ/Bonamassa thick violin like lead tone but not looking for lower output pickups such as theres.

Holydivers?

I think that would be a little to thick, for a les paul.

Ha, well i still want very good chord clairty under high gain!
I think the NB would do that better then the HD.

that's all what the diver is about!  :P
the nailbomb sounds more dense, less open
with the diver you can hear every string
