« on: September 27, 2009, 02:37:49 PM »
After many years of being an emg user I have decided to try something new.
Now I will be replacing a zakk wylde set for maybe warpigs what would you guys advise.
I use a mesa dual rec stack so have enough power from that really after clarity and power.
Thanks guys.

A heavy sound thundering bottom but clear mids and top end think guitar tone of threat signal or mnemic.

Does it make a big difference on when the les Paul was made as described above? It is a 1981 model I had heard that painkiller was not as aggressive as a war pig.

I have played the miracle man in an old ibanez destroyer and it blew my les Paul with emg away with such ease.
