I own all three of these pickups, my personal fav would be the black dog, for me it has the perfect balance between punch/power and expresssion.  Ive got that in an epi les paul, which had RY's then Emeralds then Stormy mondays in it before and to my ears it was the best match.

I found the Rebell yell a bit too pronounced in the upper mid range, i think its def one of the pick ups that polarises opinion.  I like the neck but the bridge just wasnt my cup of tea.

I've got a crawler in my Wolfgang and it sounds really really FAT, as as a consequence it can lack a bit of cut and bite sometimes, and that's in a wolfie with a locking trem!

Can you compare the Emeralds to the Black Dog and Crawler please?
Just straight line it !
