Anyone who tried a WCR ice bucker?
« on: April 28, 2012, 07:26:08 AM »
Hi guys. Im quite interested in trying the WCR ice bucker. Is there by any chance one of you who owns one, or have atleast tried one?

I cant seem to find any specs on it.

Its going in a Bc rich mockingbird. Neckthrough, 24 3/4 maple neck. Spalted maple top. Mahogany wings. TOM bridge etc.

I tune this guitar down one half step :)

From what i've heard it's pretty much a miracle man.

This is based on other peoples first hand experiences and the clips.

i must be thinking of something else :S

EDIT; I cant find any specs on the site but the clip sounds exactly like a miracle man to me.
Then again it is completely overproduced so it could be absolutely anything

I completely forgot about that pickup after installing my oversized magnet riff raff  :D
it does Schaffer's recent tones wonderfully and so much more

I suppose the icebucker has similar specs to the VHII (heavily overwound coils, but vintage correct magnet and wire), but with even more offset coils
but it could have black dog-like specs as well (thinner poly wire and/or short magnet)
or even a thicker magnet, like my RR (seems to increase output, attack and low end punch)
