Need advice for single coil pickups for esp sugizo s-1
Hi guys, purchasing a new set of single coil pickups for my esp sugizo s-1, the stock ones are hot rails which are too hot!! (lost the original antiquities). So my style of music is (radiohead, muse, coldplay, luna sea, alterbridge, porcupine tree and this guitar will be used for modern rock and alternative)
basically a rock and alternative guitar for searing and singing lead tones and rythm (sugizo of luna sea and steven wilson of porcupine tree are a good example), and clean atmospheric tones (eg. coldplay, radiohead) . No vintage tones for this guitar, however, clean tones is a must!!! (coldplay, radiohead clean modern tones, not vintage straty tones as i have strat for that.
Also, is wiring 2 singlecoil in series gives it a meatier tone? Because thats what im planning on doing as it would make the guitar more versatile with some semi humbucking tones. I dont need straty position 2 and 4 quack tones because i have a strat for that
So which pickup combination is great for this type of sound? Here are my previous choices but would like to hear opinions on bareknuckles pickups :)
1) lace sensor blue silver red set
2) lace sensor hot gold / holy grail
3) lace sensor chrome dome
4) SD lil59, duck, JBjr
5) SD classic stack
6) fralin high outout (non silent)
7) Emg sa set
Any BKP advices here?
Do BKP make lipless single coils? The guitar i want to install the pickups wont allow a standard single coil shape to fit..
