New BKPs Installed today - pics!!
« on: February 27, 2010, 06:01:57 AM »
Hamer Archtop Studio with Riff Raffs...brushed nickel...coil tap mod.  Thus far, brilliant - more to play tomorrow.  My tech was gaa-gaa over these....

ESP Horizon NT-II with Painkillers...burnt chrome...coil tap was already standard with the guitar.  POTENT.  Bridge is melt-yer-face, neck is quite a different story.  More to follow, but overall, thus far, produced a hellatone through my Uberschall TJ.

Very, very impressed with the build quality, weight and thus far, sonic attributes.

Thanks Tim & Co.

RR's are perfect out of the box.

PK's will require some EQ changes on the amps...  They're crazy!!

As per my above post to the other related thread - has anyone any idea WHY when in single coil mode, the neck pup is SO much quieter than the bridge and/or bridge/neck combo??  In dual humbucker mode - everything works blazingly well...potent, strong, and driven - bridge, neck/bridge, neck - but in single coil mode, the bridge is literally 2x as loud as the neck alone.

Ideas????
