I play 80s hard rock up to some newer stuff like Theory of a deadman, Buckcherry etc. I like a mean aggressive guitar tone. I also have a PRS Singlecut artist which I just put some Nail Bombs in and while I really like them I think I would like the Cold Sweats better. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Could the Nail Bombs work well with the Jem if I decided to try the CS in my PRS?

Welcome.

AFAIK from reading this forum Nailbombs and Ibanez are a match made in heaven...  :)

Thanks for the reply. I posted on here when I ordered my NB for my PRS and got good input about the CS with PRS singlecut trem. wish I would have found this forum earlier as it seems to be great and I would have ordered the CS but I love the NB just think the CS may be even better for what I am after with my PRS. If the NB will sound awesome in my Jem I am gonna shoot for the CS in my PRS. thanks again and any input is greatly appreciated.

Anyone else have any input, Eric Hellstyle or Twinfan if you guys happen to read this any input would be greatly appreciated. The Jem currently has the stock Dim. Evo's in it.

I have a calibrated CS set in a warm-but-clear PRS McCarty. It's very 'John Sykes & Whitesnake 1987'. They do an 80's thing extremely well, with an aggressive cut, pretty neutral (balanced) mids and a tight but full bottom. Your Singlecut would most probably welcome them.

You Ibanez would probably sound great with the Nailbombs too..but to be more exact, is there something in particular that you don't like about the Evo's?

Thanks for the reply Zaned, the Evo's are a little thin and trebly sounding although they have sounded good in the past just looking for something better.

Also my Jem is set up with 2 humbuckers and 1 single coil  if I put the Nailbombs in the Jem do I leave the single coil that is already in there or does BK have a single coil that would work good with nailbombs and my Jem?

If you dislike the middle single coil, replace it. In a HSS set, the Nailbomb is paired with Irish Tours, I have it. However, I don't really know how it sounds in an ebony-board/basswood RG.

However, if the stock mid pickup sounds OK and you don't use it much, I'd probably keep it there. At least in the beginning.
