The Davidian? Does it sound like Machine Head?
I had the impression you wanted it for technical Death Metal MDV?!?

It doesnt especially sound like either. I thought davidian from tims description of what I was gonna get - ultra tight, percussive, mid-high output pickup designed for 'modern metal' and keeping super-fast palm muted rhythms super-clean and tight. I thought aftermath after I heard the shear ferocity of the pickup itself, which was to my ears best equated to the ferocity of The Aftermath, Origin.

Hmm, may have to think about it. But that'll mean rewinding the neck too. And I'm epically skint. Oh well - may just get the magnets swapped on my bridge Pig...
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.

Just a quick bump for anyone wondering what this pickup actually sounds like, if you don't mind.

I practised my micing and recording skills and this doesn't sound so bad I thought.

Sounds good - would probably sit in a mix quite well.

Interesting (interesting cool not interesting wtf) riffing too.
