« on: July 21, 2010, 10:38:28 AM »
On a whim I bought this Jag.Its all there, has a couple of dings and the pickups are shot.I cant make up my mind what to do with it ,install stock pups, route it for P90s , humbckers or have the stock pups rewound. I'm going to put it in the loft while I think about it. Anyone here got a Jag ?

That's my favorite color scheme for a Jag.

My advice: have the pickups rewound to '62 specs. I've heard clips of original '62 Jags and they sound awesome.

Also get rid of that bridge. The radius of that TOM is 12", the fretboard radius is 7,25. Get a stock bridge with Mustang saddles. String it up with 11's.

I'd also rewire the existing.  Maybe add chrome overs too.

First of all though, looks like it could do with a bloody good clean .

I love the look of Jaguars (and Mustangs.... and Jagstangs for that matter), but couldn't live with the scale length  :(
Advice worth what you just paid for it.
