Stephen, can you detail some of the gear you use onstage and in the studio?

Brodsky: Live, I plug my Gibson S-1 into an old Sunn Model T head and a reissue Sunn 4x12. My pedalboard is one of those gray Boss carrying cases containing an OS-2 overdrive/distortion, a PS-3 pitch shifter/delay, a TR-2 tremolo, a DD-5 delay, a PH-2 phaser, and an old Boss chorus.

When we tracked Antenna, we used about 20 different guitars, but the ones you hear the most—besides our main guitars—are a Fender Jazzmaster and a Mosrite. We used the Mosrite whenever we tracked just the effected signal of our pitch shifters. Other amps pop up occasionally, as well, including an old Orange head, a Supro combo, a Marshall JCM 800, and an Overbuilt combo that was used to add top-end to the guitar tracks.

What about your setup, Adam?

McGrath: My stage amp is a Sunn 1000S, and, for guitars, I go between a ’79 Gibson SG loaded with EMGs and a ’68 Les Paul Custom. I replaced the bridge pickup in the Custom with a Gibson Tony Iommi humbucker.

I'd be between something medium low output, like the black dog or custom riff raff with large magnet, or going high output with the alnico warpig
really depends on your personal taste and rig
if I had boosters or fuzz pedals, I'd pick a lower output model, but the Warpig will sound just as good, but a lot more compressed and aggressive
Riff Raff, Mules, Black Dog, VHII's, Cold Sweat
