Octavers and Delays!

Okay, So I've got a crazy drive pedal (DistX), nice Phaser, nice Wah and a Noise Suppressor. I'm looking to get one of those Orange Thunderverb heads by the end of the year and I'm figuring that I'd also like a nice Octave Pedal (up and down octaves?) and a nice versatile delay pedal to complete my little set-up.

I'm not looking to spend crazy money on either, I like to have a nice tone but I can't justify the cash on boutique effects. Anyone got any suggestions?

If you want an analogue delay I'm very fond of my MXR Carbon Copy which wasn't crazy money.

I know these two pedals might not come cheap, but they're not in the top range price-vice too.

For a versatile delay you just have to get your hands on the TC Electronics Nova Repeater. If you're not familiar with the pedal it features six types of delay, six types of delay divisions, modulation, tone knob for the delays, spill over, kill dry and tap tempo. It sounds really good to my ears.

I have no real experience with octave pedals, but T-Rex have recently launched a two octave pedal (upper and lower) and my experience with T-Rex is that they make some quality stuff. Might be worth checking out...

Okay, I'm not too fussed about octave up. But keep it sub £100 ;)

Not really messed with many octavers (adds to every growing list of things to mess with). Delay-wise I'm currently loving the Echobase. Cracking thing.

I bought a Carbon Copy last week and Shobet got the Wayhuge Aquapuss.
We used them both on Sunday.
Both are very nice and are worth checking out unless you want a tap tempo option

Well that's what I've been thinking, do I need a tap tempo/loads of other features? Part of me wants the total coverage that a Boss DD-7 offers but part of me knows I'd be happy with an MXR Carbon Copy or EHX Memory Boy.

I'm set on the Boss Octaver, does the job and the YouTube videos are good.

Just keep in mind that the Carbon Copy sounds darker/different than the the DD7.

I'll definitly get myself a "bells&whistles" (tap tempo, looper, expression pedal plug, you name it) delay box when I can afford it. But I'm still very happy with my memory toy for most common usages.

I agree, the TC Nova Repeater is an awesome delay pedal. Simple to use, and very versatile. But if you want to go analog, the MXR Carbon Copy or the Malekko Ekko 616 are highly recommended. So is the EHX Memory Man/Boy/Toy..
