Hi gang. Man, what a busy year! Not been around much at all online... work's been nuts and the band's been doing pretty well, all good! Anyhoo, thought I'd pop on here, wish you all the merriest of christmases and show you a new guitar I took delivery of a couple of weeks back.
It was built by
Scott Heatley over on Vancouver Island. I really wanted the best of the 330, 335 and generally my favourite tweaks in a guitar. It's spruce-topped, semi-hollow, mahogany back and sides, cocobola neck, rosewood fretboard... and, of course, a trio of P90s made by Tim. These pickups were spec'd and made about a year ago, the guitar took some 19 months overall! Here she is:

Tonally I was looking for a massive tone, very deep yet ariculate in the low end and sparkly, but not harsh in the highs. This is why I love P90s, they really are the best of all worlds for me. This guitar is phenomenal, really did exceed what I was expecting of it. I'll be recording some clips of it in January, I'll be sure to let you all know when I have them up. Thanks again Tim, right on the money.
Cheers, and have a happy Xmas and New Year all! :D
