Yeah that's what I do. The open back seems to help you to hear it better anyway.

Framus 2x12's seem to be a good spec and come up cheap on the bay.

Avatar Speakers has probably the best price for what you get. After going through them, it sorta spoils you from other companies strictly because the price is so good. But if you live in the UK then it probably isn't the best option, all that vats and shipping cost. :(
