Height screw thread - metric or imperial?
« on: November 09, 2010, 05:05:18 PM »
Just got my Mules, with only one pair of screws in the box. I want to order another pair online, but I'm not sure what kind of thread the pickups have. Please enlighten me :)

Thanks.

Anyone? Ever since I got my Mules I've only had the bridge pickup installed. It's been a quite bitter first experience with Bare Knuckle  :(

Did you email BK?  They will send you a set.

I didn't get them directly from Tim, but through a dealer. Who couldn't have possibly misplaced the screws, the pickups arrived to him in their sealed box. I wrote him twice, CC-ing Tim, who hasn't provided any input so far. The dealer promised to fix this, but hasn't done so, in a week.

I hate pointing fingers, I'm just disappointed and seriously considering returning the pickups and asking for a refund.

Just checked my email again. I only CC-ed Tim the first time I contacted the dealer, the rest of the mails were only between me and the dealer. No reply from BK, though.

The height screws are imperial - same as used on Gibson, Duncan or Dimarzio - easy to get from allparts or WD music amongst others

I've never actually got a sealed box from bk, and I must have about 50 of them!

That explains it. I thought the dealer simply forwarded the sealed box to me. Appologies to Tim. Thanks for the clarification, guys!
