Beefy Single Coil PU?
« on: December 08, 2010, 09:15:36 PM »
Hey guys, I need some recommendations on which single coil pup I should get for my SSS Fender American Standard Strat. I use a Peavey 6505 with a Mesa Recto 2x12 cab (loaded with V30s) and usually play death metal, and progressive metal. I use my strat strictly for clean, as I don't like how my guitars with EMG active pickups sound clean. I'm thinking of replacing the bridge pickup on my strat since I only use the neck pickup, and I want to get the most beefy tone possible out of my SSS strat. I was thinking about getting the Sinner, but I'm not sure...

Any recs? Thanks!

Sinner, 100%. You'll be absolutely shocked at how brutal those things can sound :)
