I've done it with modest success before. I had a (nay, The) Monster Miracle Man made, back in my hyper-high-output pickup days. 23k. I dont know what other adjustments, I just asked for a miracle man that sounded like a miracle man and had the output of a c-pig. What I got was a total psychopath. I kind of wish I still had it actually; it would have gone superbly with the pitbull.
But, there was an unforseen 'issue'; the low end was catastrophic. It was still clear but not so tight under very high gain.
What I suppose you'll sacrifice with a higher output aftermath would be the dynamics of it; it would be more compressed. On the other hand that would make it more forgiving. Niether interest me, I'm very happy with it as-is, but thats what I suppose you'd find would be different. A bit more low end as well.
Depending how much hotter it is I suppose it would be like the difference between a CS and a C-Bomb. (which is a pretty big difference to be fair).
All things considered my custom BK days are over. I dont even get double screw pole pickups any more, as I've found comparing like for like in the same guitar that the stock models are just more natural and well balanced as they are. Tim puts a shiteload of work into the development of the pickups exactly as-is and my experiences idicate its not to be $%ed with without very good reason and high confidence that what youre asking to be different will work without unforseen compromises.
