Quick c-Bomb shred clip

Since we don't get too many shred clips on this forum, here's a little fragment of a solo I recorded recently:

Guitar is my Blackmachine B6 (tuned to D-standard), using the bridge ceramic Nailbomb pickup, through my Axe-FX Ultra using the Cornford RK100 amp model.
I love how defined the pick attack is with this pickup, yet not harsh. Also, the midrange harmonic detail in phenomenal, it almost sounds like there's a wah pedal in there during the sweeps.

+1, great stuff. I think if you told me that was a real amp I'd believe you. Like Johnny Mac was saying, the Axe seems like a really good way to get decent recorded tones at home, since mic'ing an amp is such a pain.

Not entirely convinced by the lower gain stuff I've heard yet though, but all the high gain things have been awesome!

nolly where did you get those 4 string sweep patterns from? 99% of the time I only ever see 3 and 5 string sweeps

I guess they're the result of too much time noodling around, I like the the regular major/minor sweeps as much as the next guy but they do get overused by so many players that I tend to avoid them (unless I'm using the superimposing the shapes to get interesting extensions). I like the shape I used here because while it has a strong root and 5th in there, it is harmonically ambiguous and gets interesting results when moved around in a parallel fashion like in that clip. When you hear it over the backing, in C, it creates a nice textural effect, rather than the usual standard "gameboy" sweep sound.
