The Immortal Nailbomb
« on: December 08, 2010, 03:54:05 PM »
Something quick to show the A5 Nailbomb down in B standard. Could probably use some work, but I don't really know how to, song any advice getting it to sound better is welcome. Not got a mic yet, so still VSTs.

"The Immortal" by Arch Enemy

Cort X-11 w/Nailbomb+Cold Sweat > Line 6 POD Studio GX > POD Farm noise gate > Reaper w/Tubescreamer VST + TSE 30x amp VST + Guitar Hack "Origional Edge" cab impulse.

Ibanez BTB775PB > GX > POD Farm "Rock Classic" amp + compressor > Reaper

Steven Slate "Thick Metal" drum kit

Nice!

Isn't most Arch Enemy stuff in C though?

Is that a Cort Superstrat with a basswood body?

Thanks!

Most is, but Black Earth and Burning Bridges are in B. Albums with Angela are almost all C.

And yeah, it's basswood with a maple bolt-on neck and licensed Floyd. I'm planning on tuning it back up somewhere near standard and using my Tanglewood for the low stuff now; going to order a Miracle Man set for it this week

good job, good tone and it grooves and it's musical.i'm not a modern metal lover and the extreme stuff to me
sometimes sounds like morse code, staccato'd to death where even the guitars don't sound like guitars.
this piece for me stays on the right side of the border!

Yeah, I need a Holydiver.

If there is one thing I hate about Bareknuckle it's that they make far too many pickups that interest me.

True word, the Arch Enemy sound is why I put the Holy Diver in my baritone. It nails the sound quite well.
