Warmoth build question
« on: March 21, 2011, 11:34:12 AM »
Hija all,

I was thinking about starting a Kilminster like project.

-Ash Tele body rounded (modern) with a
-RW board maple Tele neck, compund radius,
-a Gotoh trem,
-a Tele pickup rout in the bridge
-a mini HB/P90 rout in the neck

Problem is on the Warmoth website I cannot choose Tele bridge PU rout with a Trem. What's the problem? Is it related to the Tele ashtray bridge that usually goes with a Tele pickup? Is there a work around, maybe with a pickguard? How can I get the right body for my build?

Heres a pitscha of Kilminster with his Suhr (which has a doube blade Single Coil in the bridge).

I don't know why there's no trem option in the "Body Builder" on the site, but if you phone them up I'm sure they'll be able to do it.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Thanks for the feedback Philly.

The trem option reappears when you select single coil or humbucker in bridge PU.

I guess the bridge pickup without ashtray bridge could look like this one, screwed into the body wood?

Yeah, Glendale make a cut-down Tele bridge like that.

I'm sure Warmoth could do a Tele bridge pickup with a trem, though.  You can order it with a Tele bridge pickup and no bridge routing, so they don't have to be drilling holes for the bridge at the same time as routing for the pickup.
