Need help with pups for Ibanez ARZ307
« on: December 07, 2011, 11:23:58 PM »
hey, i recently bought an ibanez arz307 and am very interested in dropping some bareknuckles in it. i'm most likely going with the warpigs or aftermath calibrated set. my dilemma is that i dont know whether to choose the 4-conductor or braided 2 option. instinct tells me to go with the 4-conductor option being as, from what little i've read, it can do what a braided 2 can and then some. i'm sure im missing something though. if anyone can help that would be great! thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

About the conductor you are not missing anything.
The 2 is basecally only interresting if you want to be vintage correct. If you donīt need that, get the 4. If you just wanne use the regular 3 pos (bridge, bridge/neck parallel, neck) option you only need 2 wires so you just tape the other two out of the way, no biggie. But if you wanne get into coilsplitting and the like you unchain those two and have a go (I can only recommend splitts).
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid
