Philly Q, i hear you and kind of agree but,... it costs over a grand to bring to market a proper 'gibson lp' with proper neck joint, one piece neck, body , binding etc
the point i'm making is if your interested in the 'guitar' and why it became legendry you copy the original spec. this is what gibson and tokai do and in fact it starts at £1200 for the tokai ls 150, i'm not exactly sure what price the gibbo's are made
to the original specs but understand the entry level les pauls don't even have the correct (and more tricky) long tenon neck joint.
'copy's' used to be cheap imitations, but that's not what i'm talking about.i don't care about' brands' in guitars, clothes or anything else.indeed a brand often becomes recognized because it's quality but then people forget why it became a 'brand'
which makes it easier for the commercial guys to cut corners.
