move the MXR and the ISP decimator to the front

yeah but u don't want to change the pickup eq, you want to change the preamp tone to boost mids, so how would eq before the amp be as effective?

Yeah i need to rip apart my pedalboard and rebuild it anyways.  I dont have a boost pedal but would the eq work in the loop for that? I'll try boosting the mids slightly according to santiagos charts tonite.

no I wouldn't use the eq as a boost in the loop, if you're doing that for solo volume boost then why not use the jvm master 2 for a boost? I was talking about a boost like a tubescreamer/ hotcake in front of the amp purely to tighten it up (ie it's always on). But if you're using od orange your channel gain will need to be practically on 1-2. Try a tubescreamer (max volume, minimal gain) in front of the amp on crunch red- zakk wylde tone if you're in to that. But it screams compared to OD channel .

Yeah the 10band in front of the jvm isnt very effective for high gain.  I might just have to move the eq so its after the maximizer, and move the tuner out front before the wah.  The chorus seems to only sound good in the loop.  The jvms are verrrrry sticky about pedal placement, and with essentially 2 effects loops things can get complicated fast.
Trying to describe tone is like trying to describe quantum physics using dance.
