So, just a last thought if you don't mind  :P

On the pickups description, Tim was talking about different HSS combinations, the only one including two TS was the "Painkiller Humbucker + Trilogy Suite single coils". What do you guys think of the painkiller? Doesn't it fit a strat (if it did, I suppose you would have told me about)? Is it not versatile enough?
Just to grow my experience in BKP  :D

It's a different animal than the HD. Tighter bass, more agressive uppermids and more cut in the highs. Besides that, it's ceramic and will not sound as organic and clean up as well as alnico. If you are looking for that the Painkiller is in competition. If you want a beefier, rounder pu (which could not be a bad thing in alder/maple neck), I think the HD is the one to grab. I reckon it's more versatile too.
