PU Covers for my Bernie Rico Jr.
« on: June 22, 2011, 07:35:02 PM »
I've finally narrowed down what types of pickups I'm upgrading to: Aftermath (bridge) and a Coldsweat (neck).  I'm still unsure about which covers to spring for though.  I'd love some opinions from other users with a good eye though haha.  Here's my baby: http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h433/Onfireee/7%20String%20Bernie%20Rico%20Jr/ I'm leaving towards camo, distressed or maybe even black battleworn to match the hardware.  Thoughts?

With all the beautiful quilt-extravaganza, I would favour camo. I've seen them in Nolly's Blackmachine and they look stellar on quilted/tigerstriped tops. Black battleworn would be my second choice.

Definitely a good call.  After seeing these of the same fashion:

I'm reallyyyy considering the black battleworn haha.  I'm afraid that introducing the green with the camo's might clash with the other colours of the guitar.

I meant these, but the hardware on the first guitar (which I like the best) is not black, so maybe battleworn black is the better/safer choice.
