Neck Pickup: VH2 vs Cold Sweat
« on: June 23, 2011, 01:21:26 PM »
So Tim agreed with my choice of the Miracle Man for the bridge position for heavy rock and pinch harmonics.

He has recommended both the Cold Sweat and VH2 for the neck...........which one of these would have a nicer bell like clean tone in both humbucker and coil split mode and match the Miracle Man well ?

I am attracted to the CS only because of its accentuated highs, might give more bite to the clean tones.

However i also play all my hi gain solos in the neck position so that is a consideration too.

What do u guys think ?
Thanks
Faisal

Hi,

I have both VHII and CS neck models but I did not use them in the same guitar. I had the CS neck/MM bridge in one guitar before I went to a full CS set. It is a good combination if you don't mind a slightly stronger bridge pickup.

I have the VHII neck paired up with an Alnico Nailbomb which works also very well. You cannot really make a mistake with either.

Cheers Stephan

when you say 'bell like tone', VHII all the way!
c-bomb bridge, cs neck, HD set, MM set, PK set, Alnico BH set
