Agile Necks
« on: July 31, 2011, 10:11:25 PM »
Yo.

I know a couple of people here have Agiles, and I'm thinking of joining the club with a les paul a-like. I'm trying to get an idea of neck shape. I have a 1990 Les Paul Custom, with what I guess is the slim 60's style neck. I can't find any details right now (online) though I think I have in the past.

I'm told by Kurt that the Agiles typically have a 90's epiphone stye neck that is a bit different at the heal. What I'd like to know is how the Agile neck might compare to my les paul. If anyone has had a go. I used to own an EC-1000 but the neck was a bit wider. I prefered my les paul much more.

soo? any idea what they come close to that is easier to get hold of?

These are the official dimensions
There are 3 neck profiles on ALs, regular is pretty much a 60s LP, slim is more Ibanez like, and wide is the regular neck with a wider nut.

yeah i saw the dimensions on there, but I couldn't find the dimensions of my les paul to compare. so I emailed and asked and got told the Agiles were kind of like a 90s epiphone shape but that the agile neck isn't a copy of anything in particular. I've played some epiphones with horrible feeling necks (for me). So I thought I'd dig around some more.
