Schecter C-1 Bloodmoon pickup choose
« on: August 21, 2011, 03:39:00 AM »
Hello there, and thanks in advance for helping me.

I want to change the pickups of my Schecter C-1 Bloodmoon which its body and neck is mahogany, its a set-neck, and I think the wood is bassy.

I had problems with the bridge pickup (a duncan designed, based on the JB) which has been having feedback, because  I had problems with heat trying to make the finish brilliant of the pickup, and some of the wax melted... (Anyways I don't like it, its TOO trebbly...)

I play mainly Metalcore/Deathcore, with some slices of progressive and djent. I play heavy palm mutes for breakdows, with tons of bass, but I also need clarity in all of my riffs, since I make a lot of notes due to that slices of progressive. Im using a bugera 6262 (copy of the Peavey 5150) which has a very clear tone, even when doing chords at high gain you can distinguish the notes, but I wish I could have more clarity from the pickups, and not so much treble in it, sometimes you can hear it click in your ear.

What do you guys recommend me????

Thank you in advance!!! Greetz!

PD: I forgot to say, I tune in Drop B. :P

I think you may be suited to the aftermath as its tight and can get very heavey and doesnt have a massive amount of high end.

The amount of bass isnt HUGE but you can dial that in on your amp as the pickup isnt lacking itself its very nicely balanced across the lows/highs with a midrange peak that gives it loads of clarity, cut & definition
