New pickup for project guitar.
« on: May 13, 2005, 03:54:26 AM »
Hey all.  I just started putting together my new project guitar.  It's a single humbucker routed guitar made of basswood with a maple laminate.  I'm currently looking for a pickup that will give me a punchy barking metal crunch while still maintaining clarity for single note riffs.  I like the sound of Pantera and Metallica, and some Zakk Wylde screaming harmonics.

This sound like a job for the Miracle Man.   Take a listen to Tim's sound clip of it in the 'players' section.

I've put a Warpig in a (cheap) basswood guitar with amazing results. It's great for Zakk and Metallica, or should that be MetalliCAAAH!

Not ideal for Pantera, Nailbomb comes a bit closer to that.
