It is completely made out of mahogany? Neck and body, no maple, no maple top? I have a Carvin CT3, all mahogany (rosewood fretboard) and that is overall a bright guitar so I think you would want to look for something with a bit more controlled treble depending on metal and playing style...
Yeah, mahogany often has a reputation for being dark, when it actually is not (when talking about good quality wood). But it does have an emphasized midrange.
My first reaction to the original post was ceramic bridge. If it's a bright guitar, I might stay away from the Cold Sweat, but I think any of the others would work, depending on the sound you're after.
The other possibility is to go the lower output pickups, like a Riff Raff (which is a bright and cutting pickup, think AC/DC).
