BKP for a Carvin DC 127 all Mahogany Neck Thru (Mahogany Sides)

Any suggestions on a contempory BKP for a Carvin DC 127 all Mahogany Neck Thru (Mahogany Sides) with Wilkinson Tremelo.  Mostly using for metal!!!

It is completely made out of mahogany? Neck and body, no maple, no maple top? I have a Carvin CT3, all mahogany (rosewood fretboard) and that is overall a bright guitar so I think you would want to look for something with a bit more controlled treble depending on metal and playing style...

Yeah, mahogany often has a reputation for being dark, when it actually is not (when talking about good quality wood). But it does have an emphasized midrange.

My first reaction to the original post was ceramic bridge. If it's a bright guitar, I might stay away from the Cold Sweat, but I think any of the others would work, depending on the sound you're after.

The other possibility is to go the lower output pickups, like a Riff Raff (which is a bright and cutting pickup, think AC/DC).

I'd recommend checking out the Miracle Man. In my experience it works very nicely indeed in all-mahogany neck-through guitars.

Yes, it is all mahogany (neck and sides).  No maple top.  I will use is for drop D with standard tuning or Drop C with D-tuning.   As far as type of metal?  Well mostly Metallica/Megadeth, Nevermore, Ozzy, so a wide range of metal.

Well, Tim recommended a CS set or a C-bomb bridge for the Carvin all-mahogany neck-thru.  Miracle Man sounds like an option though.  How do all 3 bridge PUs compare?  How would a RY fair in this type of guitar?

I have RYs in an all mahogany Firebird Studio but it does not have a thru neck. When I first got them I thought they were too toppy but having spent a lot of time fiddling with pickup height and re-thinking my amps EQ I think they are wonderful. A guy played it a jam night last week and was very persistent about making me an offer for it but I told him it was not for sale and he should find his own lump of mahogany to put some RYs in. I play mainly classic rock with maybe a bit more of an 80s gain to the sound and they are perfect for this.

Thanks!!!   My buddy put a pair of RYs into his Schecter Tempest (Mahogany Body/Maple Top/Maple Set Neck) and brought his guitar over and I played it through my main rig (currently an Engl Savage 120 and Bogner 2X12 OS Cab with V30s) It destroyed at high gain levels and was perfect for me.  Keep in mind I had the a lot of gain when I played though it on channel 4 so I did not try it on the crunch channel.   The cleans were nice too on Channel 1!!!
