Currently I am even very happy with my Tiny Terror HW. I have my rig setup so I really like the sound it puts out, even when I would not call it even close to JP.
The Mark V remains very interresting though.
Yeah I've heard lots of great things about that amp. How much gain can you get out of it though? I'm not one of those crazy high gain people myself, but I've been curious about how high gain that amp is.
I'll put up a review of the Road King II pretty soon I think.
Ah yes, it is an amazing little thing. For the size it is kinda incredible IŽd say, the Hardwired version being even better than the cheap one.
Gain is a thing this little monster has plenty of IŽd say. Of course it is no 5150 or so, after all it is an Orange, but when you crank the gain all the way up you get into classic heavy metal terretory. Lot more if you put an OD in front of it. When I play Trivium or Avenged Sevenfold riffs with an OD, setting the gain at 2 oŽclock is enough for my taste (though the OD is a little monster too). Without the OD I would go to 4 oŽclock or full on.
The cleans are nice too, though of course the headroom is not really big.
The area where the TT shines most though is breakup sounds to classic rock, which is no suprise. It is very british after all.
At least that is how I feel.
Really an amp worth trying!
