Usa charvel HSS pickups choice?

hey guys i have a few questions for ya.  I have a usa charvel hss.  It must be the last model they made in the usa. But it has direct mount pickups with very little room to adjust the pickups.  It has a jb in the bridge and  two Seymour Duncan STKS4 single coils.  I have the guitar setup with a push pull pot with 6 available position running off a 250k pot.  i think i can do better than the jb for this guitar and and the two single coils are really thin sounding and not hot at all.  I play through a fractal audio axe fx ultra.  My main sound is a 5150 boosted with a ts808 mod and the marsha hbe.  this guitar is heavy alder body with a one piece maple neck.  what do you guys think would be a good set for this guitar? and what amount the direct mount issue?

Choice depends on what tone you're after and what styles you play. Considering what is in it and the amp you got, perhaps an alnico Nailbomb with Trilogies. This set suits heavy contemporary styles.

Another option would be a Holydiver in the bridge with two Trilogy Suites. Check out the reviews by Slartbartifarst42 - he used both combinations on a Jackson and the reviews are very detailed.

The Holydiver will beef it up for sure. It has one of the best contemporay leadtones. If you plays a lot of solo's you'll like the HD, if you're mainly riffing the NB is perhaps the better choice.

I do riff and solo as much as the other.  I have just heard good things about the hd in charvels.  i will have to look into that singles more. I think a want a hotter coil Forsure but I want it to sound good when I get into some of the combinations the guitar can do.
