Have not played either yet but if tightness is your main focus/concern, get the Riff Raff neck.

Cheers Stephan

Yeah a RiffRaff-neck would be better for that.

The RYs sound great in a Les Paul or similar type of guitars.

Thanks a lot guys! Now I've just got to decide whether I want the creaminess of the mule or the tightness of the riff raff.
But there's one more thing, I watched a video of a Gibson Classic 57 compared to The Mule and whilst the mule was much creamier and clearer distorted, the Gibson Classic 57 sounded mucher fuller with cleans. I think that it had a big boost in mids or something. I want to know if the Riff Raff will sounds "bigger" clean than the mule. Sort of like a Gibson Classic 57 or Burstbucker Pro.

the RR doesn't sound like the '57 classic
it's a bit like the burstbucker pro, but a lot brighter and more open
maybe you want a black dog instead

I'm not a big fan of the black dog.
Which of the two pickups (The Mule and Riff Raff) will give me the Pros of a Gibson pickup (Fuller Sound) without the Cons (Muddiness, a bit to much compression)?

I'm edging towards The Mule because i don't want my neck pickup to be overly bright, i want a good bass response from it but i may go for the RR. I'll just have to wait and see.
