Beer crates
« on: April 06, 2012, 10:00:27 PM »
What do you stick your amp on now you can't get beer crates any more ? I managed to find a couple of old milk crates that I carry around with me.

I did a gig a few years back and asked the barmaid if she could let me have two beer crates the same size.

She said ' The same size as what ? '

I bit the bullet and bought an amp stand. I used chairs in the absence of crates but in the end, a stand was the easy option. Shame because some of those crates had great tone.

Newcastle Brown Ale crates were my favourite - lots of mids and a nice top end.

Don't they do beer crates anymore?!  :o

What do they deliver the bottles in then?

Newcastle Brown used to give my arse great tone. Shame the next day you couldn't get away from the repercussions...

Had a friend vom down the side of his mini going up the M62 after he had a particularly bad NukeyBroon aftershock. As he was driving at the time, the passenger was steering at this point. I was in the back trying to simply survive. Those were the days!
