Covered AND Uncovered?
« on: April 10, 2012, 09:22:20 PM »
Hey all! I personally like it alot, but not sure about many others: Does anyone here like the look of one covered/one uncovered pickup, a la Jimmy Page? I think it looks really cool, and fresh as well since many don't do it. What do you all think?

I´m a fan of the pickups looking the same in both positions, makes it look like a complete guitar, not a patchwork guitar.
Its just my opinion.
An uncovered bridge can look agressive though, like in Mark Tremontys guitar.

Yep, I like the look on the right guitar.  Basically a relic Les Paul!

Depends on the guitar, but I think uncovered bridge/covered neck can look cool.  I wouldn't have it the other way round, though.

MDV has a LP with a covered/uncovered pickup. Have a peak in the best LP Color-thread.

Yeah, my guitar looks almost EXACTLY like that. I just think there's something sexy and wild looking about that....or, I could just be going mad

Actually, what are your opinions on a Tremonti style Covered neck and open coil bridge except with a gold cover?
It'll be on a fireburst les Paul studio (they are much prettier than pictures would suggest :) )

oh the hard choices a man has to make in life...  :D
