I don't know is Alkaline Trio and Sum 41 more metal or more classic tone :)
I think I prefer more versatile sounding pickup for any kind of music

Both RY and RiffRaff will work, when you use a booster with the RR you have a versatile pickup for sure. Tight enough for metal-stuff too.
