Steve Stevens Here
« on: May 19, 2012, 09:00:06 PM »
Hey Guys,
I think there may have been some confusion regarding my endorsement of another pickup line. Let me state for the record that 99% of the guitars i play are loaded with Bare Knuckle pickups. I endorse xoticeffects who are aligned with a line of pickups...Raw Vintage. In my demo for their pedals i used a guitar loaded with them. No big deal. Tim Mills has been the absolute best and we worked very hard in developing my Rebel Yell signature pickup. I can't say enough good stuff about all of the BK stuff. I strive to have the absolute best guitar tone i can get. Bare Knuckles are a huge part of that.  I hope this clears up any confusion any players may have had.
Thanks,
Steve Stevens

Great job Steve, tell it like it is! BTW, which Xotic pedals do you use currently? Would love to know. Maybe they can come out with a Steve Stevens sig pedal....make you sound and play as close to the man himself :D

We know a bit how the endorsement-world works. Good to hear you're (still) a dedicated BKP-user. Thx for sharing and keep up the amazing work!

I absolutely love the Rebel Yells that I have!

Steve you're a class act.

This should be a sticky for future reference imho.

Cheers,

Tom

I had no knowledge of any potential perception of 'brand disloyalty' (not that such things terribly concern me; its guitar equipment, you dont marry the stuff), but I think its most decent of you as a high profile guitarist to come on the boards and make a statement clear things up.

+1 to Tim and the BK team being second to none to deal with. (Edit: in the pickup world at least; Bob Johnson of Legra guitars is The King of customer service, but getting bespoke guitars and handmade pickups are a bit apples and oranges; the BK crew are without peer in their field).
