MM overwound

Thinking about getting a MM bridge...has anyone got one with increased output or is that even necessary? I've got a Maxon OD9 boost so probably not. Thoughts? Also neck pickup for 80s style metal--cold sweat?
Thanks
Sean

Very good--thanks. I've checked out a lot of the clips on the other forum there and the MM sounds absolutely amazing. I've been playing with a PK set (dual allen) for a few years now and want a change. Not that the PKs don't kick serious ass.
