OK, so now I installed a MiracleMan in the bridge and a Trilogy in the neck...
It's very early to say anything yet but I could always share my first impression:
Miracle Man: Pinch harmonics! Yes, there are no problems getting your strings to scream, everywhere around the neck. Also the bass is as tight as promised. I've used humbuckers with more distortion in them, but they tend to get muddy. Palm muting is very tight and well-defined...
Don't get me wrong, it's not a "clean" pickup but the balance between high output and tone seem to be just right.. For me, this is just what I've been looking for! Screaming solos, tight bass, perfect for distorted metal-tones...
Trilogy: A very high output single-coil, It's balanced so it' almost overpowers the MM when it comes to pure volume, but it still has the characteristic singlecoil-sound... Works well for solos with that special SC-sound. It has no problem handling huge amount of distgortion, also very well-defined under heavy gain situations.
Cleans up VERY well! Switch to a superclean sound and it's very warm with a lot of punch, but no distortion to mess up the clean sound.
Well, no negative judgements here. I would have given you them if I had found any. It may come later but so far it's excactly what I hoped it would be, just what I've been looking for...
I'll give it some time and I might find something bad to say? But you know, when I put them on, the tone was so much better than the stock pups that were on my guitar before, I can't be anything but excited....
I feel like I just married Shakira...?
