Fav? ColdSweat - Aftermath -CBomb (Opeth playthrough vid)
« on: November 15, 2012, 12:32:21 PM »
Hey guys did this vid over the weekend which i thought u may find helpful. Its a playthrough of the main riffs from the song 'Deliverance' by Opeth. I chose it as it has a mix of chords and chunky palmuted stuff-anyways hope it helps in comparing some of the pups characteristics, etc. Which is your favourite? Any questions, feedback, comments just drop me a line! thanks again

Superb playing! and great choice of song :)
I guess I prefer the Cold Sweat and Nailbomb.
Listening to the clip, it seemed the Nailbomb emphasized low-mid frequencies a little more than the Cold Sweat (Maybe it's just the camera mic?)
Anyway, cool video! I find it helpful!

Cheers for the feedback Timuu, i will be doing some mic'ed vids in the future.
Yes, the CBomb does seem to offer more lowmid emphasis, the Coldsweat seems to do it less drastically and with less compression. They are similar pups (i believe the coldsweat is like an underwound nailbomb), but i find the coldsweat to be clearer. Thanks for the feedback! :-)
