I'm going to take my RG1570 to the shop to have it setup right since I have no clue how to do this myself. And after doing some reading I'm wondering if I should change the string gauge from what was put on the guitar at the factory. The lowest I'd be tuning would be two steps down to C if I was going to play stuff like early Hypocrisy. So I need a suggesting on what gauge to go with.
On a side note, does string gauge affect the level of difficulty when it comes to tremelo picking? I mean my technique sucks because I'm just starting out, but it seems like even at a moderate speed that I "trip up" if you will.
The more I read the more nervous I get about the choice of guitar I got because of the bridge and the locking nut, since I'm really new to all this stuff. It will take awhile before I'll be comfortable doing anything besides tuning, lol. Thankfully I'm getting a strobostomp once MF gets them in stock.
