Holy Diver neck with Cold Sweat Bridge?
« on: April 04, 2013, 11:41:08 PM »
I had a Cold Sweat bridge I wasn't using and put it into my new Les Paul Traditional. I originally had it in my first Les Paul but didn't quite take to it at first. Have to say it sounds amazing in this guitar. It sounds like what every Gibson (498T/500T/Dirty Fingers) should sound like! Just full of crunch and power without the mud or top-end screech.

My Cold Sweat neck, however, is in my super-strat paired with a Holy Diver bridge. I was going to take it out and put it in the the new LP, but I'm pretty happy where it is as a shredder neck pickup.

My Les Pauls are for hard rock, not shredding, so I'm wondering what the Holy Diver neck is like to pair with the Cold Sweat bridge? I do prefer a neck pickup that cuts a bit, I'm not fond of muddy/bassy neck pickups, but want a bit of warmth too for cleans.

What I read on the forum the HB-neck cuts a bit more then the CS-neck.

Check out this thread where I asked for an alternative neck pickup to the Cold Sweat Bridge: https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=26740.msg350691#msg350691
