humbuckers for a G&L

So i'm thinking about buying a G&L S-500 (swamp ash body and maple neck) and putting humbuckers in it. I currently use an Ibanez SA series with a cold sweat in the neck, and a nailbomb in the bridge. I need it for the band, but I'm not sure if this combo would work in the Swamp ash G&L.

What styles of music do you play and what amp and pedals do you use? If you're looking for something in the comtemporary section a lot of people got good results pairing alder/maple guitars with Holydivers and I think a swamp ash/maple guitar will be close to an alder/maple one.
