Now then just bought Carl Martin DC Drive pedal. Really surprised how nice this thing sounds and Jesus theres one hell of a volume jump when its kicked in. Also has a boost switch too so its like having two channels in one pedal,it gives the cleans a bit more chime as well when just using boost side. Also regular and fat switch which is pretty self explanatory and gives quite a substantial amount of bottom end if you want to say fatten up a tele. All in all a good pedal in my view and reduced from £99 to £70. What do you think. It has changed shape since this vid. Might not be the best vid chosen but you can get some idea.

I bought one of these a while back but I find the drive sounds, even on the fat setting are a bit on the fizzy side. I guess it just doesn't get on with my fender bandmaster. I still use it for the boost function though and it works well for that.

I tried the DC drive a long time ago and remember that it didn't really do it for me, but I think I was searching for a higher gain pedal than what the DC could deliver and that was why I didn't fancy it. I'm pretty sure that it's an excellent buy for 70£.

Sounds familiar. Amps and pedals can be bit of a struggle. Some pedals sound good on my The Valve 2/50, but not on my Rockerverb and vice versa.

I've come to the conclusion now that its a complete waste of time trying a  drive pedal out in a shop. Even after trying a pedal out through a fender amp that's similar to mine like a twin, on getting it home and plugging into the bandmaster, it sounded naff.
