Hi guys,

just wanted to chime in wth some pics and stuff. I've recently started building a custom made 7string with one of our local builders with following specs:

25,5'' scale, bolt on
1 piece swamp ash body with a really nice walnut top
maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple neck with birdseye maple fretboard
BKP holy diver camo 7 set
1 volume killswitch, one 3-way switch
there will be no lacquer, just pure oil/wax, no binding

The body/neck/headstock contours are based on mayones regius with slight modifications..

Nice 1! looks great already so really interested to see how it turns out-which luthier is this with out of curiosity?

hi, he's only building guitars locally in Slovakia (EU) a small, custom shop/repairs kinda thing. still in the learning process I'd say. He's not very good with staining and lacquer, but that did not bother me as the whole thing was always planned to be natural..

 He's been building since 2006 or so.
I'm quite curious how this thing will turn out, ETA on this thing is in two weeks time, I'll keep you posted with the final result and some thoughts.

In fact, I'm very curious to find out whether this thing (which will set me back a lot less than my previous build) will turn out better then what I have now soundwise and detail-wise. :)
