I understand your problems. I have quite a lot of Earcandy stuff, but I had to wait a long time at the end to get it. When I first dealt with Tim it was no problem and my first custom cab with an amp head cab came in about 3 months, which I didn't think was bad for non-standard stuff. I also got a 1x12 cab which didn't take long. I then ordered a 1x15 bass cab, as Tim said he had a couple in stock that someone had cancelled. This took about 6 months to come, which I thought was a bit long, but since I was in no hurry (and had told him that), I wasn't too worried. My problems started when I ordered the other 1x15, a rack cab and a custom white 2x12 buzzbomb & amp head for my Ceriatone Overtone Special. I sent him the amp (as I had with the first order), and paid my deposit on everything. We were in touch regularly through the next 9 months with emails and some progress pictures and back on forth about things. Then suddenly I diddn't hear from him for a few months, but then got an email saying he had some health problems which had delayed stuff but he was back. Then nothing again for a few months. By now it had been 18 months and he had my Ceriatone for almost a year! Then suddenly the Buzzbomb, 1x15 and rack cab all arrived. I got an email apologising for the delay and he explained that the head cab wasn't there because of some issues with the quilted maple and having to restain it.
Then he had missed that the head has these small tabs on each side, and so it didn't fit the cab and he needed to build a new one. He also asked if I wanted the old one as a 2x8 cab, but we actually decided to make it a rack mount. I finally got everything in July of 2010, having ordered (and paid for) it in February 2008.
Tim is a really nice guy but I don't know what happened to him. I think he overextended himself, then got health problems and then the decline started. I hope you can get your cabs now. He does seem to have got himself together from the note on the site. I have to say the cabs are incredibly well built. 4 of mine have been underwater for 3 days with Hurricane Sandy and they are OK - the speakers are gone of course, but the cabs are fine (unlike my Trace Elliot cab, which is MDF and was destroyed). The other thing is that they do sound good.
Good luck with your cab.
