« on: August 11, 2013, 12:23:40 PM »
I am assembling a '72 deluxe tele with a mahogany body. I have a pair of cold sweat humbuckers i plan to fit but I cant decide whether to have 1 meg or 550k push pull pots. can anyone give me some advice? thanks

I have a Gibson SG with a Cold Sweat in the neck and can tell you that it sounds bright enough with a 500K in it.  Same for the A-bomb in the bridge position.  I've heard of people using 1meg pots with Warpigs, but again my Warpig set is fine in my Explorer with 500K pots.  The most I would go up to with that guitar is 550K

1 meg pots are very very trebly, unless you want that sound on purpose then just get 500k or 550k, my danelectro had 1 meg pots and I found the treble unbearable.
