NPD....and a wiring question
« on: September 28, 2013, 02:45:31 AM »
Hey everyone,

I received my first BKP, a Painkiller for the bridge of my PRS Singlecut, and when I got in installed, fired up my amp, to much disappointment, there is hardly any sound coming through from the bridge.  I soldered the black and bare to the back of the bridge volume pot, and the red wire to the left prong of the bridge volume pot, as per the BKP diagram.

After first having the issue, I unsoldered everything and re-soldered, ensuring the joints are solid, but the same result.

If I crank my amp up all the way, I do get sound, however it is not loud at all (I have a Peavey 6505+ head through a 4x12, so it should be killing me and my neighbors at that volume).  The tone pot does still have an affect on the sound output as I turn it, as does the volume pot.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
