thanks for the great clips and video's!
I think the rebel yell sounds great, but indeed much too warm for my taste?
Here is an example of my punkish sounding band, you can hear my sound is much cleaner and with much more highs http://stealers.bandcamp.com/track/pretty-city-2# ( this was recorded with my t-top and marshall super lead )..
So now i think i will try the riff raff for the bridge not sure about the neck pick up tho, that's more interesting for the thin lizzy like stuff i also play..

I would settle for a calibrated set, but if you're worried the RR-neck is too bright, you might consider a Mule-neck, which is a bit warmer and less bright, but has a lovely crispiness at the same time.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

Listening to the clip it's hard to imagine that you could go wrong with a Riff Raff set.

My first thought was an Emerald in the bridge. Its brightness will work well in a Les Paul and it's quite an open pickup. No doubt in my mind it will do what you're after. For the neck, I'd either go Emerald again or Riff Raff if you want it brighter and punchier.
